The Renovation Process

  1. Work out your budget
  2. Contact Buildingworks and our project managers will visit site to talk through your ideas. We can offer suggestions for cost saving and also provide a very high level approximate cost for your project, generally based on sqm.
  3. If needed, Buildingworks can arrange a site meeting with an architect so that concept plans can be drawn up.
  4. An approximate price can then be provided before the project proceeds further.
  5. When the approximate price is approved the plan can be finalised to include more detail in the design*.
  6. Engineers may need to be consulted such as geotech (ground condition) and structural design*
  7. Detailed plans are submitted to Council for approval and priced by Buildingworks.*
  8. Project scope is finalised and costs are approved with customer.
  9. Buildingworks contract signed and a start date planned (if project over $30,000 inc gst).
  10. Builldingworks starts on site!

*Please note not all projects require an architect, engineer or council consents.

What Our Clients Are Saying

Thank you for the opportunity to express our thanks and appreciation for the work carried out on our property.
We decided as our family expanded to add an additional room and office to our existing 3 bedroom house and approached Buildingworks to quote us for this work (as they had been recommended to us).  We were very impressed with the professional and efficient way that they dealt with us and so building commenced on our property.  I had heard of others who had had trouble with the building process but our complete build went off without a hitch or a concern.  The team that worked on the building were always there when they said and worked tirelessly to ensure time frames were adhered to.  I appreciated the way that they ensured each day that things were left tidy and safe for my son to at least be outside.  I also found it very helpful that they kept us informed as to the progress and what to expect as each day went on. The Council inspectors at one point even commented on the high standard of work that they were carrying out.
We are now happily living in our new extension and would highly recommend Buildingworks to others.  I am happy to give a verbal reference to anybody should they wish to contact me.
